LTC English

During the course you will develop the four main skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking, with emphasis on grammar and vocabulary too.

There is a lot of speaking practice in the lessons to make you more confident and fluent. Our teachers will also help you improve your pronunciation and listening skills during lessons and you can also focus on these skills with self-study materials outside of class. English is the only language spoken in our classrooms by both teachers and students.

We will give you regular homework to support your work within the classroom and each month there is a progress test.

You will then have monthly tutorials with your teachers to look at your progress and give you advice on how to keep improving your English.

The regular tutorial and testing process also ensures you can move up to the next level as soon as you are ready or change to a full-time Exam Preparation course when you want a new challenge.

Teaching Methods

We use Communicative Language Teaching – you learn to improve your English language skills by using English.  There is a strong focus on speaking and listening, and you will spend a lot of time working together with your classmates.  We also integrate grammar and vocabulary work with practice in the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Your teacher will provide the materials for each lesson, including homework and self study tasks.

Exams

LTC London is a certified TOEIC test centre. You can also take the IELTS, KET, PET, FCE, CAE, BEC or TOEFL exams in London. You can transfer to exam preparation classes if your English is the correct level and we have spaces in these classes.

Certificates and Reports

At the end of your studies with LTC you will be given a certificate and a report from your teacher, provided you have attended at least 80% of your classes.
